NICOLE ZIMA

Controller

As Controller, Nicole is responsible for the finance and accounting operations of Skyline Capital Builders. She works closely with Sean Holliday, to oversee all budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. Nicole also collaborates closely with Nick Andreolas, Corporate Controller of Skyline’s family of companies to implement accounting and project management software and to ensure consistency between our sister companies, Skyline Construction (California Commercial Interiors), Unimark (Seattle Commercial Interiors) and ACCEND (Chicago Commercial Construction).

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

Nicole joined Skyline’s family of companies in 2015 and became Controller of Skyline Capital Builders in 2019. She has been instrumental in the accounting operations of the company and is focused on standardizing financial processes to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results. Prior to Skyline, she held roles in accounting and finance in the manufacturing industry and also for a government contractor in the environmental industry. She received a degree in Resource Economics from the University of Connecticut.

MANAGEMENT STYLE

Nicole believes in a team-centric approach. She provides well-articulated direction and expectations and then acts as the facilitator to execute key tasks. She promotes an environment of open and honest communication and values feedback to empower team members to evolve in their roles.

INTEREST & HOBBIES

Nicole spends her time away from work with her husband, Neil, and their dog, Jax. She enjoys international travel, hiking, outdoor activities and exploring the west coast with her husband and dog. Originally from Connecticut, Nicole also loves visiting New England to see friends and family.
